Camp Hope 2024

Camp Hope 2024, you did not disappoint! We had the highest of expectations heading into Camp, and our week of bonding and fun certainly exceeded all our hopes and dreams with our Camp nearly doubling in size from Year 2 to Year 3.

Thank you to the 100+ campers and counselors who spent five days with us creating forever memories. Thank you to the parents of our campers who took a leap of faith and sent your children to us from more than 35 states and entrusted us with your precious loved ones. Thank you to the physicians and our nurses from 7 states who traveled to Camp Hope with an extra round of applause to Dr. Javier Monagas, Camp Hope Medical Director; Jeff Reeh who led the set-up of the Camp Hope Pop-Up Hospital; Christie Heinzman, Medical Charge Nurse; and Mindy MacKinnon, Camp Hope Nurse and uber Rebecca’s Wish volunteer. Without you, there is no way Camp Hope could have happened. In fact, we provided care on more than 200 occasions to children during the week at Camp Hope, many of whom would have been hospitalized for their treatment had they not been at Camp.

Thank you to the team at Rebecca’s Wish which spent countless hours ensuring we had a safe and successful camp with the biggest of hugs to Terri Lowe and Joy Ulcak. Thank you to Morgan’s Wonderland Camp in San Antonio for providing a fun and ultra accessible space for our campers to laugh and smile. Thank you to National Pancreas Foundation (NPF) -with a huge shout out to Patter Birsic and Sokphal Tun of NPF- for working shoulder to shoulder with us as our powerful partners and for sharing our dream that children with pancreatitis deserve an overnight summer camp experience. Thank you to our donors and sponsors who believe in the merits of Camp Hope, and that we are doing the right things for the right reasons at Rebecca’s Wish. Finally, everyone out there… mark your calendars… because Camp Hope 2025 is less than 365 days away, and we promise it will be the BEST Camp Hope ever!!!
