Genetic Testing

We are excited to announce a groundbreaking collaboration that will revolutionize the way we support families affected by rare and misunderstood diseases. Rebecca's Wish is proud to partner with Ariel Precision Medicine, a leading authority in the field of genetic testing, to provide a vital resource for families nationwide.

Families facing the challenges of a child with rare, painful, and often misdiagnosed diseases, can now request and receive at-home genetic tests at no cost. Through this initiative, we aim to empower families by giving them crucial insight into the genetic drivers of their child's condition, which subsequently paves the way for more informed treatment decisions and personalized care plans.

Rebecca's Wish is committed to covering 100% of the costs associated with these genetic tests, thanks to the unwavering support of our generous sponsors and donors. It is our firm belief that no family should face financial barriers when seeking answers and solutions for the health of a child.

This collaboration represents a significant milestone in our mission to provide comprehensive support and resources to families navigating the complexities of rare diseases. Together with Ariel Precision Medicine, we are dedicated to fostering a community of understanding, compassion, and empowerment.

This video underscores the breakthroughs of genetic testing with pediatric pancreatitis patients and how Rebecca's Wish Fellow, Dr. Trevor Laborda, has implemented this technology to help his patients in the Mountain West of the U.S.

Rebecca's Wish has gained significant momentum since the launch of our nonprofit in 2018. Did you know we are now carrying out our work in 30 states with the help of five top-tier physicians whom we have trained as Rebecca's Wish Fellows. We recently traveled to Utah to highlight the impact of Rebecca's Wish in the Mountain West, and how we are making a difference nationwide as a nonprofit. We showed this video during the Rebecca's Wish Gala in February of 2024.
