Camp Hope 2025

Rebecca's Wish and The National Pancreas Foundation created a one-of-a-kind pediatric pancreatitis summer camp in 2021 called Camp Hope, so children and young people suffering from pancreatitis, or post-TPIAT, can experience all the joys of camp without limitations. Camp Hope is also a place where they can bond and build friendships in a fun and safe setting that includes swimming, archery, horseback riding, crafts, zip-lining, basketball, tennis, photography and more.

At Camp Hope, campers get to experience things they have never been able to do while having fun, finding respite and experiencing a new sense of belonging, all while staying safe under the guidance and care of an onsite medical and psychosocial team.  For most of the children participating, this is their first time attending camp and being away from home due to their pancreatitis.

Our 4th in-person session of Camp Hope is set for June 9-13, 2025 at Morgan's Camp in San Antonio, Texas. This FREE experience is limited to children 8 – 18 years old. Travel stipends are available for those who need financial assistance.

Volunteer opportunities are available. Volunteers must be at least 19-years-old and available to check-in on June 8th for mandatory training. So that our campers can be 100% themselves at Camp Hope, and to help them gain new confidence and independence, caregivers are not permitted to volunteer. The only exception we are making is for caregivers who join Camp Hope as a medical volunteer (physician, RN, therapist).

The deadline to apply is April 10, 2025 in order to join us at Camp Hope 2025 as a camper or a volunteer. Spots are limited or Camp Hope, so we encourage you to submit your application right away. Please click the appropriate button below apply.

ABOUT MORGAN’S CAMP

Morgan’s Camp is the world’s first ultra-accessible family fun park specifically designed with special-needs individuals in mind. The 25-acre park, located in San Antonio, is completely wheelchair-accessible and features more than 25 elements and attractions including rides, playgrounds, gardens, and an eight-acre fishing lake.

The inspiration for the park came from Morgan Hartman, the 16-year-old daughter of Morgan’s Camp CEO Gordon Hartman. Her soaring spirit, despite personal challenges, inspired Gordon to create a safe haven, not only for children with special needs, but also for their families, caregivers, and invited friends.

“Inclusion is the overarching objective of Morgan’s Camp,” he explained. “Our vision is to play an instrumental role in helping establish more ultra-accessible family fun parks throughout the nation.”
