Just last week, on one day of the week, Children’s Hospital of San Antonio had four children come to the hospital for medical procedures to alleviate their pediatric pancreatitis attacks. The cost of the procedure alone can run at the very least, tens of thousands of dollars.
Here at Rebecca’s Wish, our mission is to provide hope to children with pancreatitis, but we feel a compelling need to also help financially when possible.
For every $25 donated to Rebecca’s Wish, you will receive a very special note card set, with the art work created by Rebecca herself. Donations of $100 will receive 4 sets of cards. (All card sets include 6 cards).
Donations greater than $200 will receive a signed, limited-edition lithograph which features a work of art created by Rebecca, which as a painting, generated a $21,000 donation during our inaugural gala for Rebecca’s Wish.
Rebecca painted all the original artwork, most of it created by Rebecca at the age of 10, when she was often hospitalized and spent little time outside in nature. She received help from Ms. Mary, her art teacher, as Rebecca was very ill at the time.
“These note cards capture the emotion of a message I wanted to share when I was very sick and drew these scenes. They are scenes filled with color and with hope,” said Rebecca Taylor, founder of Rebecca’s Wish who has long-battled the scourge of pediatric pancreatitis.
“We know the pain and sadness of being hospitalized during the holidays. It affects your entire family,” said Christyn Taylor, President of Rebecca’s Wish and the mother of Rebecca Taylor. “Rebecca’s Wish wants to ease the burden of these families, not just financially but also showing them love in a tangible way. We hope the cards will remind you to pray for the children impacted by this terrible disease,” she said.
Rebecca’s Wish promotes the prevention and treatment of pediatric pancreatic diseases through education, partnership, and research efforts while supporting the individuals and families affected by these ailments.
